Side by side comparison – KitchenAid Classic vs. Artisan

Now we go in dept to compare the two models from KitchenAid. We will go over price, power, size, usability, Accessories and overall rating on amazon. If you wanna skip right ahead to our conclusion you can go to the bottom of the article.

Power

The KitchenAid Classic have 250 watts in power – Which is capable of most task. The Artisan wins this by having 325 Watts.

Therefore it can manage baking better.

The importance of power comes down to what you use your stand mixer for. If you make bread regular you should chose the Artisan. The difference of 75 watts. Is significan enough for a better experience in making bread.

If you mainly want to use you stand mixer for making cake, frosting or cookies, then you should save your money can go for the Classic.

Size

The size of the mixer itself is up to personal prefference and they are quite similar. However, the size of the bowl can be of great importance. Both the Artisan and the Classic are made for homecooking and they have a 4.5 and 5 qt bowl.

The difference of 0.5 is not important for me, and they will both be big enough for home use.

But again the Artisan wins, as it is a bit bigger than the Classic

Price

The classic is a cheaper option than the artisan.

Most of the performance is better on the artisan due to the price. You will get a more powerful motor, capacity, and more accessories. If the price wasn’t a factor I would go for the artisan.

Customer Reviews

Both of the products have received near to perfect reviews, so this we can’t use for much! Other than, both purchases will make for a good stand mixer.

Conclusion KitchenAid Classic vs. Artisan

Based on our research and testing we would recommend the Artisan if you like to make bread. But if you end up buying the KitchenAid Classic, it will still be a great choice for a stand mixer.

It’s all up to prefference and if you want to pay the extra price for the better model.
